Hello! My name is Jessica Hartman Jaeger, I am a professional costume technician (since 1998) and am currently employed as a First Hand in the costume shop at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. I have experience as a Draper, First Hand, Stitcher, and Tailor. I have also done work for Writers’ Theatre, The Guthrie Theater, The Goodman Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Drury Lane Theatre, Skylight Opera Theatre, The Milwaukee Ballet, American Players Theatre, Optimist Theatre, Virginia Opera, and Renaissance Entertainment Productions - Bristol Renaissance Faire. In addition to my costume background in the world of professional theatre I have experience with industrial sewing; stitching naugahide and vinyl seat covers, nylon golf bags, American flags and other large banner type items for a local Milwaukee company during my summer lay-offs. Historical fashion and clothing are two of my passions. I am a collector of vintage clothing and accessories, antique and vintage books, manuals, and ephemera relating to the needle arts and fashion (items relating to tailoring and menswear are of particular interest to me). I am involved in living history and reenacting and am a member of the WWII Historical Re-Enactment Society, Inc. I am a knitter, a gardening enthusiast, an amateur/hobbyist photographer , and I also collect and enjoy using vintage cameras (I love film!). Proud EAA member.
